Brainwaves on the Airwaves Music Festival
During mental health week we’ll be running an innovative music festival - on radio, the internet and via mobile phone.
We’ll feature the stories and music of artists with experience of mental illness. The festival will reach over 1 million people across Victoria during Mental Health Week in October.
We’ll finish off the festival with a celebratory live music event in Melbourne to cap off an exciting week!

Verse, Bridge, Chorus
Songwriting workshops in: a psych ward, psycho-social rehabilitation community mental health service and a local community centre.
The project title reflects the journey of recovery: Verse being the beginning of the story. Bridge being community mental health care. Chorus being the “chorus line” of the whole community.
Three facilitating artists will work in each of the settings with a small group of songwriters to write, record and prepare for performance. The project will culminate in the 3 groups coming together to perform their songs for family, friends and public audiences.
